By using coming.up.in — whether to browse events, list an event, or manage a subscription — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Questions? hello@coming.up.in.
What coming.up.in is
coming.up.in is an event discovery platform. We publish event listings submitted by organisers and display them on city pages so that local residents can find out what's happening near them.
We are a platform, not an event organiser. We don't run, sell tickets for, or take responsibility for the events listed. The organiser named on a listing is responsible for it.
Your account
To list events via the organiser portal, you need an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@coming.up.in.
You must be 18 or over to create an account. You must provide accurate information when signing up — using a false identity or someone else's details isn't allowed.
One person or organisation, one account. If you represent a business, you're agreeing to these terms on its behalf.
Listing rules
When you submit an event listing, you agree that it:
- Is accurate — the dates, venue, and description must be correct
- Is your event, or you have permission to list it
- Does not promote illegal activity
- Does not contain offensive, discriminatory, or misleading content
- Does not infringe anyone else's intellectual property
- Is not spam or a duplicate of another listing
We review listings before they go live. We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion — including after publication — without obligation to give a reason.
If your listing is removed and you believe this was a mistake, email hello@coming.up.in and we'll take a look.
Payments
Guest listing (no account required)
Guest listings are priced at £5 per day, covering run-up days and the days the event is active. Payment is taken upfront via Stripe. This charge is non-refundable — once payment is made, the listing fee is not returned even if you cancel or change your event.
Standard subscription (£15/month)
The Standard plan is billed monthly. You can cancel at any time from your account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, so you'll keep access until then. We don't offer refunds for partial months.
Add-on charges (extra events at £2 each, extra run-up days at £5/day) are billed at the time of use and are non-refundable.
Refund policy
We don't offer refunds except where required by law. If there's a billing error on our side, contact us and we'll sort it out promptly.
Price changes
We may change our prices. If you're on a subscription, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect.
Your content
You own the content you submit — event descriptions, images, and any other material. By submitting it, you grant coming.up.in a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform (and in promotional materials like social media or the weekly digest).
This licence ends when your listing expires or you delete it, except where content has already been shared (e.g. in a digest email that's already been sent).
By submitting content, you confirm you have the right to do so — if you upload an image, you own it or have permission to use it.
Intellectual property
The coming.up.in name, logo, design, and platform code are our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our written permission.
Event listings are created by third-party organisers and we claim no ownership over their content beyond the display licence described above.
What we're not liable for
We do our best to keep the platform running reliably, but we can't guarantee:
- That the service will always be available or error-free
- That events listed on the platform will happen as described
- Any loss you suffer as a result of relying on information on the platform
Our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence — that kind of limitation isn't enforceable and we wouldn't want it to be.
Termination
You can close your account at any time from your account settings. We'll delete your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We can suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, for example by submitting fraudulent listings or making abusive payment chargebacks. We'll tell you why unless doing so would breach a legal obligation or compromise security.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll email registered users and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after changes are published means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
